Frequently Asked Questions
Do Indians need a visa for Turkey? Is it easy?
Yes — Indians need a Turkey e-Visa, but it is very easy to obtain online! No embassy visit, no queue. Apply at evisa.gov.tr — takes about 10 minutes online. The fee is approx. USD 50 (₹4,200). Approved within minutes to 24 hours usually. This is NOT a Schengen visa — Turkey has its own simple e-Visa system. Holiday Vibez guides you through the application step by step.
Is the Cappadocia hot air balloon really included?
Yes! The Cappadocia hot air balloon sunrise flight is fully included in this package — it is one of the most iconic experiences in the world and a highlight of the trip. Flights last approximately 1 hour and cover the fairy chimney valleys at sunrise. Note: balloon flights are weather-dependent. If cancelled due to weather, Holiday Vibez will arrange a full refund or reschedule where possible.
When is the best time to visit Turkey?
April–June and September–November are ideal. Spring (April–May) is perfect — warm, lush green landscapes, and fewer crowds. Autumn (September–October) is equally beautiful with harvest season in Cappadocia. July–August is very hot (38–42°C in Cappadocia and Istanbul) and peak crowded. Winter (December–February) in Cappadocia can be magical with snow — but some balloon flights are cancelled. Avoid August for Pamukkale — extremely hot and crowded.
Is Turkey safe for Indian tourists?
Turkey is very safe for Indian tourists in all the destinations covered by this package — Istanbul, Cappadocia, Pamukkale, Ephesus, and Bodrum are all popular, well-touristed areas with excellent infrastructure. Turkey receives over 50 million tourists annually. Turkish people are famously warm and hospitable to Indian visitors. Our 24/7 coordinator and local guides are always available throughout the trip.
What currency is used? Is Turkey affordable?
Turkey uses Turkish Lira (TRY). Due to the exchange rate, Turkey is extremely affordable for Indian tourists right now — one of the best value destinations in Europe. Excellent meals cost ₹300–700. Turkish tea and coffee are extremely cheap. Shopping in the Grand Bazaar and local markets is very affordable. We recommend loading USD or EUR on a forex card and exchanging to TRY locally at exchange offices (döviz büroları) for the best rates — better than airport exchange.

The Cappadocia hot air balloon was the single greatest experience of my 52 years on this earth. Rising silently above hundreds of balloons at sunrise, with the fairy chimneys glowing pink below us and the entire valley stretching to the horizon — I had no words. I still have no words. The Hagia Sophia in Istanbul was equally moving — 1,500 years of history in one building. Turkey is extraordinary value — we could not believe how affordable the food and shopping was. Holiday Vibez delivered everything perfectly.

Pamukkale was the biggest surprise. I had seen photos but thought it might be underwhelming in real life — it is NOT. Walking barefoot through warm white mineral pools on the edge of a cliff above the Aegean valley is genuinely surreal. Ephesus was another jaw-dropper — we walked down the same marble streets as Julius Caesar and St Paul. The Grand Bazaar shopping was excellent — we brought home 3 bags of Turkish delights, saffron, and ceramics. Holiday Vibez’s local guides were outstanding.

Turkey is the best value destination in Europe — we got a 9-day trip covering 5 cities for ₹78,000 and the quality was excellent. 4-star cave hotel in Cappadocia was a highlight! Turkish food was incredible for vegetarians — mezze, gözleme, fresh salads everywhere. The Bosphorus cruise at sunset was magical. My one suggestion: add one more day in Istanbul — we could have spent a week there easily. Holiday Vibez recommended exactly the right cave hotel. Overall a brilliant trip!
