Manali Tour Packages — India's Himalayan Adventure Capital
Holiday Vibez curates Manali tour packages covering the full Kullu-Manali valley and its surrounding circuits — from the cedar forests of Old Manali to the snow fields of Rohtang, the hippie trails of Kasol, the remote wilderness of Lahaul, and the high-altitude monastery circuit of Spiti Valley. Manali (2,050m) sits at the head of the Kullu Valley, where the Beas River is still young and fast. The town splits in two: New Manali is the commercial hub — Mall Road, hotels, souvenir shops, the bus stand; and Old Manali, 2km uphill, is a labyrinth of guesthouses with balconies over apple orchards, Israeli restaurants, hemp cafés and the ancient Manu Temple by the river. The single most visited sight is Hadimba Devi Temple (1553 AD) — a pagoda-style wooden shrine, four-tiered, carved with deer and lotus, set inside a grove of deodars so tall they block the sky. Entry is free; going at dawn before the crowds gives a completely different experience. Rohtang Pass (3,978m, 51km north of Manali) is the most accessible high-altitude snow point in India — the road winds up through waterfalls, meadows and army checkpoints until the world turns white. A permit is required (₹500, available online — we handle it for all packages). Since 2020, the Atal Tunnel under Rohtang (9.02km, world's longest highway tunnel above 10,000 ft) has opened Lahaul Valley year-round: the eerie, cold plateau on the other side, with its Buddhist gompas and the confluence of the Chandra and Bhaga rivers at Tandi, is now a day excursion from Manali rather than a separate expedition. Solang Valley (14km north of Manali toward Rohtang) is the adventure hub: skiing (December–March), snowboarding, zorbing, paragliding, and the Solang ropeway. Kasol (76km south, 1.5 hrs) is a different world — a hamlet in the deep Parvati Valley that became India's backpacker capital, known for its pine-forest camping, Israeli food (Kasol earned the nickname "Mini Israel"), and as the base for the Kheerganga trek (12km, 3,050m altitude, natural hot springs at the top) and the wilder Pin Parvati Pass crossing.
Getting there: Fly to Bhuntar (KUU) airport near Kullu (35km, 45 mins to Manali). Alternatively, overnight Volvo bus from Delhi (14 hrs, ₹900 budget). Best seasons: October–November — post-monsoon crystal clarity, apple harvest in Kullu, Kullu Dussehra (7-day festival, October). December–March — snow in Manali town itself, skiing at Solang, Rohtang deep snow, Old Manali fairy-tale white. April–June — most popular, Rohtang permit season opens, flowers on Beas riverbanks, warm days at 2,050m before the heat hits the plains. Avoid July–September monsoon: Rohtang road frequently closed by landslides, river flooding, leeches on forest trails. Note: Spiti Valley extension requires 10+ days and the best window is June–October (road via Kunzum Pass open only summer months).
