Frequently Asked Questions
What visa do I need for Germany?
Indians need a Schengen Tourist Visa applied through the German Consulate (via VFS Global). Germany is your main destination so you apply to the German mission. Processing takes 10–15 working days. Holiday Vibez provides complete documentation support. The government visa fee is approximately ₹7,500. Apply 6 weeks before travel. The Schengen visa covers all 26 Schengen countries, so you can visit neighbouring countries too.
Should I visit Neuschwanstein Castle? Is it worth the cost?
Absolutely — Neuschwanstein Castle is one of the most spectacular sights in Europe and should not be missed if you’re in Bavaria. It’s a 2-hour drive from Munich. It inspired Disney’s Sleeping Beauty Castle and is set in a dramatic Alpine location. We strongly recommend adding it as an optional day trip (own cost approx. ₹4,000–5,000 per person including transport and entry). Book castle entry tickets online well in advance — they sell out fast.
What is Oktoberfest? Can I plan my trip around it?
Oktoberfest is Munich’s legendary 16-day beer festival held in late September/early October. It’s the world’s largest folk festival with 6 million visitors annually. If you plan to attend, book hotels 6–12 months in advance (Munich hotels triple in price). Holiday Vibez offers a special Oktoberfest package add-on. Even outside Oktoberfest, Munich’s beer gardens and Hofbräuhaus offer an excellent taste of Bavarian beer culture.
What currency is used? Can I use cards everywhere?
Germany uses Euros (EUR). Cards are widely accepted in hotels, restaurants, and shops. However, Germany has a notably higher cash culture than other European countries — many smaller restaurants, bakeries, and local shops are cash-only. We recommend carrying EUR 200–400 in cash. Load a Forex card with Euros from India (Thomas Cook or BookMyForex for best rates). ATMs are widely available.
Is this tour suitable for vegetarians?
Germany has excellent vegetarian options in modern cities like Berlin and Munich. Berlin especially is one of Europe’s most vegetarian-friendly capitals with hundreds of vegetarian and vegan restaurants. Traditional Bavarian cuisine is meat-heavy but good vegetarian alternatives (Käsespätzle — German cheese pasta, potato dishes, pretzels) are always available. Indian restaurants are also plentiful in both Berlin and Munich. Let us know your dietary requirements during booking.

The Rhine Valley cruise was absolutely breathtaking — medieval castles appearing around every bend with vineyards cascading down to the river. Berlin’s Cold War history was incredibly moving — standing at Checkpoint Charlie and then walking along the East Side Gallery gave me chills. Munich’s Hofbräuhaus was the perfect end to the tour. Holiday Vibez planned every detail flawlessly. Germany is now my favourite country in Europe!

We added the Neuschwanstein Castle day trip and it was the single best decision of the entire trip. The castle in its Alpine setting is genuinely beyond description — like a Disney fairytale come to life. Cologne Cathedral was jaw-dropping — I couldn’t believe humans built something so massive so long ago. The ICE trains between cities were a joy — fast, punctual, and scenic. Thank you Holiday Vibez for a perfect Germany experience!

We visited during Oktoberfest and the atmosphere in Munich was absolutely electric — a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Holiday Vibez had booked our hotel 8 months in advance which was essential. Heidelberg was a lovely surprise — we almost skipped it but the castle and old town were spectacular. Berlin’s Museum Island is a treasure for history lovers. Good vegetarian food available in Berlin — as a vegetarian family, we had no issues at all.
