Daily BreakfastWhile most visitors rush straight to the Burj Khalifa, the true soul of Dubai lives along its 200-year-old Creek — in the fragrant Spice Souk, the glittering Gold Souk, the traditional wooden Abra ferries, and the wind-tower houses of Bastakiya. This focused 3-day heritage package explores the authentic Dubai that existed before the record-breaking towers — and pairs it with the Dubai Frame, the one monument that brilliantly frames the contrast between old and new. Our most affordable Dubai offering, and for culturally curious travellers, often our most memorable. Rated 4.5 stars by 189 verified travellers.
Arrival — Dive into the Soul of Old Dubai
DXB Airport • Dubai Creek • Gold Souk • Spice Souk • Abra • Dhow Cruise
- Arrive at Dubai International Airport (DXB) — private transfer to 4-star hotel in Deira or Bur Dubai, the historic heart of Old Dubai
- Dubai Creek (Khor Dubai) — the 14km tidal inlet that gave birth to Dubai. In the 1820s a small community of pearl divers and fishermen settled here. Today it remains the soul of the city
- Gold Souk (Deira) — the world’s largest gold market with over 380 retailers selling 10 tonnes of gold jewellery. Necklaces, bangles, rings, and earrings in every style from traditional Emirati to contemporary. Bargaining warmly expected
- Spice Souk (Deira) — one of the most atmospheric markets in the Gulf: towering hessian sacks of saffron, dried limes (loomi), frankincense (luban), rose water, henna powder, and every Arabian spice. The air itself is fragrant for blocks
- Abra crossing — the traditional 1 AED wooden ferry across the Creek, carrying passengers exactly as it has for over a century. The most authentic Old Dubai experience
- Evening: Traditional Dhow Cruise dinner on the Creek — 2-hour cruise past the illuminated Deira and Bur Dubai waterfronts with unlimited buffet dinner and live Tanoura entertainment (included)
Al Fahidi, Bastakiya & Deep Heritage Dubai
Dubai Museum • Bastakiya Wind Towers • Al Seef • Jumeirah Mosque • Cultural Walk
- Breakfast. Al Fahidi Fort (Dubai Museum) — the oldest surviving building in Dubai (built 1787), housing the finest museum documenting Dubai’s transformation from pearl-diving village to global city. The before-and-after of 60 years is extraordinary (entry included)
- Bastakiya (Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood) — the most perfectly preserved traditional quarter in Dubai. 50+ wind-tower houses (barjeel) built by Iranian and Indian merchants in the early 1900s, with the distinctive square towers that channelled cool air into rooms below — Arabia’s original air conditioning
- Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding (SMCCU) — the ‘Open Doors, Open Minds’ programme with guided heritage walks, Arabic coffee ceremony, and a traditional Emirati breakfast discussion (entry included)
- Al Seef — Dubai’s newest heritage promenade along the Creek waterfront, blending traditional architecture with modern cafés and the cruise terminal. Beautiful at any time of day
- Jumeirah Mosque — the most beautiful mosque in Dubai and one of the few open to non-Muslim visitors. The Sheikh Mohammed Centre organises morning tours with explanations of Islamic prayer, customs, and architecture (entry included)
- Dubai Textile Souk (Bur Dubai Souk) — the colourful covered arcade of fabric merchants with silks, brocades, and traditional Emirati fabrics at excellent prices
Dubai Frame & Farewell to Old Dubai
Dubai Frame • Perfume Souk • Heritage Shopping • Departure
- Breakfast. Dubai Frame — the 150m-tall picture frame that perfectly captures the Old Dubai vs New Dubai contrast. Looking through one side: the traditional Creek districts, wind towers, and heritage buildings. Looking through the other: the Burj Khalifa, Marina towers, and modern skyline. The most thoughtful monument in Dubai (entry included)
- Perfume Souk (Deira) — the fragrance quarter of Deira with hundreds of shops selling traditional Arabian attars (oil-based perfumes) and oud (agarwood). The most distinctive Dubai souvenir — Arabian Oud, Rasasi, and Ajmal perfumes
- Textile Souk and Electronics Souk — the most competitive prices for electronics, fabrics, and general goods in the city
- Heritage shopping list: Arabian Oud perfume, saffron and dried limes from the Spice Souk, dates and Arabic sweets, gold jewellery from the Gold Souk, frankincense and bukhoor (incense), and traditional Emirati khanjar (dagger ornament)
- Transfer to Dubai International Airport (DXB) for return flight to India
- Fly home with a deeper understanding of Dubai than most visitors ever gain — the authentic, fragrant, golden-lit heart of a city that is simultaneously 200 years old and completely new
