Frequently Asked Questions
Do Indians need a visa for Dubai?
Yes — Indian passport holders require a UAE Tourist Visa. The good news: it is one of the easiest visas to obtain. You can apply online through the UAE ICP portal (icp.gov.ae) or through airlines like Air Arabia, Emirates, or FlyDubai. Processing is typically 3–5 business days. 30-day single-entry visa costs approximately AED 250–300 (₹5,000–6,000). 96-hour transit visa also available if you have a valid US, UK, or EU visa. Holiday Vibez provides complete documentation support and can guide you through the application process step by step.
When is the best time to visit Dubai?
October to April is ideal — temperatures are 20–30°C, pleasant for outdoor sightseeing. November to February is peak season with the best weather (18–25°C), but hotels are at their most expensive. Dubai Shopping Festival runs January–February with extraordinary mall deals. May to September is extremely hot (40–45°C) — outdoor activities are difficult, but indoor attractions (malls, Burj Khalifa, aquarium) are fully air-conditioned and heavily discounted. Indian travellers get 3–4 direct flights daily from Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore.
Is Dubai safe and suitable for Indian families?
Dubai is consistently ranked among the safest cities in the world, with very low crime rates. It is extraordinarily family-friendly with excellent Indian restaurants, Hindi-speaking staff across hotels and tourism, large resident Indian community (Indians are the largest expat group in Dubai at 28%), and familiarity with Indian cultural preferences. Food: Indian restaurants are everywhere, Jain food available, vegetarian menus are standard. Alcohol is available in licensed restaurants and hotels but not required or pushed. Dubai is especially popular with Indian families for its combination of luxury, safety, and cultural familiarity at reasonable cost.
Should I visit Burj Khalifa at sunrise, daytime, or sunset?
Sunset (1–2 hours before sunset) is the most popular and recommended slot — you see the city in golden afternoon light, watch the sun disappear behind the Arabian desert, and then see Dubai transform into a sea of lights as darkness falls. The price is higher for sunset slots. Daytime gives the clearest visibility for distances (Palm, ocean, desert edge visible). Sunrise is the cheapest slot with fewest crowds and extraordinary light — but requires an early start. We recommend the ‘Before Sunset + Sunset’ dual slot (available as an upgrade) so you see both the golden hour and the night sparkle.
Can we add a Desert Safari to this package?
Absolutely — Desert Safari is one of Dubai’s most popular experiences and can be easily added to this package. The Evening Desert Safari (4h, most popular) includes dune bashing in 4WDs, camel riding, sandboarding, traditional Bedouin camp dinner under the stars, belly dancing, tanoura show, and henna painting — all for approximately ₹3,500–5,000 per person. The Overnight Desert Safari adds stargazing and a desert breakfast. The Full-Day Desert Safari includes quad biking and dune buggy riding. Please mention ‘add desert safari’ when contacting us and we’ll customise the package accordingly.

We are both in our 60s and were nervous about Dubai — would it be too modern, too loud, too unfamiliar? Holiday Vibez was reassuring and they were right. The Gold Souk on Day 1 felt completely comfortable — the vendors were warm, several spoke Tamil, and my wife spent 90 minutes looking at every style of gold jewellery before selecting exactly what she wanted. The Spice Souk reminded us of George Town in Madurai — the smells of saffron and dried limes and frankincense. The Dhow Cruise that evening was beautiful — traditional boat, buffet with Indian dishes available, the Creek lights reflecting in the water. The Burj Khalifa the next day — looking down at the city from 124 floors — was extraordinary. Dubai was excellent value and completely manageable. We will return.

The Dubai Fountain was the biggest surprise of the trip. We arrived at the Dubai Mall waterfront at 6PM and waited for the fountain show. When it started — the music, the water shooting 150 metres into the air, the 275m spray synchronized perfectly to the orchestra, with the Burj Khalifa glowing behind it — my teenage son and I both lost words completely. It ran for exactly 5 minutes and then stopped. Everyone around us exhaled as one. We watched three shows in a row. Dubai Frame was also completely different from what we expected — the transparent glass floor of the sky bridge with 150 metres of open air below you requires genuine courage, and the contrast of looking out one side to see old Dubai and the other to see the new skyline is genuinely clever and moving. Excellent trip.

Our first international trip as a family — myself, wife, and two children (12 and 9). Holiday Vibez guided us through every step including the visa application which was simpler than expected. At the Burj Khalifa, my son asked me how tall it is and I told him 828 metres — taller than 80 floors stacked on top of each other — and he still couldn’t understand until he was standing on Floor 124 looking down at the city spread below him like a model, and the Persian Gulf visible in three directions. That look on his face. My daughter’s favourite was the Dubai Aquarium — she stood in front of the giant acrylic panel watching the sharks circle for 45 minutes. Dubai is an excellent first international destination for Indian families. Very safe, very familiar food, very manageable. Highly recommend Holiday Vibez.
