Kerala Tour Packages — Why Kerala Is Called God's Own Country
Holiday Vibez offers Kerala tour packages covering the full spectrum of what this extraordinary state has to offer. Kerala is a narrow strip of land between the Western Ghats mountains and the Arabian Sea — and that geographic accident has created extraordinary diversity in a small space. In the east, the Western Ghats rise to 2,695 metres (Anamudi peak, the highest point in South India), their slopes covered in tea plantations that produce 23% of India's tea — and Munnar, at 1,600 metres, sits in the middle of them: cool air, mist-filled valleys, the smell of tea everywhere, elephant sightings on the road at dusk. In the centre, the backwaters — a network of 1,500km of interconnected lakes, rivers, lagoons and canals that run parallel to the Arabian Sea coast — are explored most memorably from a kettuvallam houseboat, a traditional rice boat converted into a floating cottage with a bedroom, kitchen and open deck, poling slowly through villages where life proceeds exactly as it has for centuries. On the coast, Kovalam's lighthouse beach is the quintessential Kerala beach scene — white sand, coconut palms, fishing boats pulled up at the waterline, the Vizhinjam lighthouse at the south end of the bay. Periyar Tiger Reserve in Thekkady is unique in India: you watch the wildlife (elephants, gaur, sambar, otters) from a boat on Periyar Lake, which fills the valley of what was once a forest — a hauntingly beautiful landscape of dead trees rising from still water, wildlife coming to drink at the edges.
All Kerala packages include transport (flight + cab, or train + cab), accommodation, daily breakfast, guided sightseeing and 24/7 Holiday Vibez support. Houseboat packages include all meals onboard. Ayurveda packages include daily treatment sessions with certified Ayurvedic physicians.
Best Kerala travel season: October–March (post-monsoon — cool and green, perfect weather, backwaters at their most beautiful, all roads clear). Avoid June–August (monsoon — heavy rain, some routes blocked, rough sea for coastal areas). Classic Kerala circuit: Kochi (2N) → Munnar (2N) → Thekkady (1N) → Alleppey houseboat (1N) → Kovalam (2N) — 9 days, covers all the highlights. How to reach: Fly into Kochi (best hub), Thiruvananthapuram (for south circuit) or Calicut (for north Kerala and Wayanad). Train available from most major Indian cities to all Kerala stations.
