Haa Valley Tour — Bhutan's Hidden Valley
A quiet, off-the-beaten-path valley beyond the Chele La pass
The Haa valley is one of Bhutan's least-visited and most enchanting regions, tucked away in the far west and reached over the country's highest motorable road, the Chele La pass. Only opened to visitors in recent decades, Haa keeps a genuine, unhurried rural character with ancient temples, alpine meadows and traditional farmhouses. At around 2,700m it offers crisp air and wide, quiet skies. We arrange your Entry Permit and handle the Sustainable Development Fee.

Why visit Haa
Haa is for travellers who want the real, quiet Bhutan away from the crowds. Its ancient temples, sacred hills and farmhouse life feel untouched, and the journey over Chele La is a highlight in itself. It rewards curiosity and a taste for the off-beat.
Top things to do
Haa is best savoured slowly:
- Cross the Chele La pass for Jomolhari views
- Visit the White and Black ancestral temples
- Walk among farmhouses and alpine meadows
- Soak up the valley's peaceful rural rhythm
How to reach Haa
Haa lies west of Paro and is reached by a scenic drive over the Chele La pass, taking around two to three hours. There is no airport in the valley, so travellers fly into Paro International Airport and continue by road. The mountain drive is a memorable part of the experience.
Entry permit & documents
Indian citizens do not need a traditional visa for Bhutan. You travel on a passport or Voter ID with an Entry Permit arranged by Holiday Vibez. The Sustainable Development Fee is currently ₹1,200 per person per night for Indian nationals, with children discounted and under-6s exempt (subject to change). Remote regions may need extra route permits, which we handle.
Best time to visit
Late spring to early autumn, roughly May to September, brings green meadows and access over Chele La, while the summer Haa festival showcases nomadic culture. Winter snow can close the high pass, so we plan around the season for a smooth crossing.

Real stories from real journeys
Thousands of families and couples across South India have travelled with us — here's what a few of them had to say.
Travelling with my parents and two kids, I was nervous. Holiday Vibez planned every single day perfectly, and the Alleppey houseboat was the highlight. We are already planning our next trip with them.
Best price I found anywhere, and the desert safari and Burj Khalifa tickets were all sorted before we even landed. The team was on WhatsApp whenever I had a question.
The Gulmarg gondola, the shikara ride on Dal Lake — exactly like the photos, no surprises at all. By the end of the trip our driver felt like family.
Booked a fairly last-minute Phuket trip and they still got me a great deal with visa help included. Honest, smooth and genuinely helpful people.
Scuba at Havelock was a dream come true. Every transfer and every hotel was exactly as promised. Worth every rupee, and I have already recommended them to friends.
