A short drive from Pahalgam, it earned its name and fame from Hindi cinema and remains a favourite for picnics, gentle strolls and dreamy photography. This tour pairs Betaab Valley with the wider Pahalgam area and Srinagar, giving you the greenest, most tranquil side of the valley on an easy domestic trip.
Fly into Srinagar (SXR), transfer and enjoy an evening shikara ride on Dal Lake before an overnight stay.
Drive through saffron fields and orchards to Pahalgam, with a relaxed afternoon by the Lidder river.
Spend the day in Betaab Valley and Aru Valley, with meadow walks, a stream-side picnic and photography.
A final morning in Pahalgam, then drive back to Srinagar for Mughal-garden sightseeing.

Betaab Valley is Kashmir at its most postcard-perfect — a gentle, green amphitheatre of meadow and mountain that needs no trekking to enjoy. It is wonderful for families, couples and photographers, and pairs naturally with Pahalgam and Aru. Being domestic, it needs no visa or permit for Indian travellers.
Betaab is best enjoyed alongside the other Pahalgam-area gems.
Fly to Srinagar (SXR) — direct from Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru, or one stop via Delhi — then drive to Pahalgam and on to Betaab Valley. The final stretch into the valley is often done by local vehicle, all arranged within your package.
March to October is ideal, with lush green meadows in summer and golden tones in autumn. The valley can hold snow into spring at its edges. In deep winter access can be limited, so we plan the standard, well-travelled circuits and monitor conditions.
Carry warm layers even in summer, as the valley floor stays cool, and wear comfortable shoes for the meadow and stream. Mobile signal can be patchy here, so download maps beforehand and keep some cash handy for local entry and ponies.
