From the 30-minute callback to our private villa in Ubud, every little detail was handled. Our guide even arranged a surprise candle-lit dinner on the beach. Zero stress — pure magic.
Thimphu Tour Packages from South India
Bhutan's serene, traffic-light-free capital in the Himalayan foothills
Thimphu is the only world capital without a single traffic light, and that tells you everything about its unhurried Himalayan charm. Perched at around 2,300m along the Wang Chhu river, it blends whitewashed dzongs, buzzing weekend markets and the colossal Buddha Dordenma gazing over the valley. Our Thimphu packages pair comfortable stays with a relaxed, culture-rich pace. For Indian travellers we arrange the Entry Permit and guide you through the Sustainable Development Fee.

Why visit Thimphu
Thimphu is the gentlest introduction to Bhutan — walkable, welcoming and steeped in living Buddhist tradition. You can watch archers compete, spin prayer wheels at the Memorial Chorten and shop for hand-woven textiles all in a single day. It suits first-time visitors, families and anyone wanting culture without a strenuous itinerary.
Top things to do
Highlights are easy to combine over two unrushed days:
- Photograph the giant Buddha Dordenma at golden hour
- Tour Tashichho Dzong when it opens to visitors in the evening
- Meet the takin at the Motithang preserve
- Shop the centenary farmers' and craft markets
How to reach Thimphu
There is no airport in Thimphu itself. Most travellers from South India fly to Paro International Airport (PBH), the country's only airport, then drive around an hour to the capital. Overland entry via Phuentsholing is also possible for those combining Bhutan with a road trip. We plan the routing that best fits your dates.
Entry permit & documents
Indian citizens do not need a traditional visa for Bhutan. You travel on a valid Indian passport or Voter ID card and need an Entry Permit, which Holiday Vibez arranges as part of your package. A Sustainable Development Fee applies — currently ₹1,200 per person per night for Indian nationals, with children discounted and under-6s exempt (subject to change). Carry passport-size photos and, for children, a birth certificate.
Best time to visit
The ideal windows are March to May, when jacaranda and rhododendron bloom, and September to November, with crisp, clear mountain air. These seasons offer the most reliable views and comfortable sightseeing weather.

Real stories from real journeys
Thousands of families and couples across South India have travelled with us — here's what a few of them had to say.
Travelling with my parents and two kids, I was nervous. Holiday Vibez planned every single day perfectly, and the Alleppey houseboat was the highlight. We are already planning our next trip with them.
Best price I found anywhere, and the desert safari and Burj Khalifa tickets were all sorted before we even landed. The team was on WhatsApp whenever I had a question.
The Gulmarg gondola, the shikara ride on Dal Lake — exactly like the photos, no surprises at all. By the end of the trip our driver felt like family.
Booked a fairly last-minute Phuket trip and they still got me a great deal with visa help included. Honest, smooth and genuinely helpful people.
Scuba at Havelock was a dream come true. Every transfer and every hotel was exactly as promised. Worth every rupee, and I have already recommended them to friends.
