Srinagar is the gateway to the whole valley — the airport, the houseboats and the road-heads for Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonmarg all radiate from here. It blends easily reached sightseeing with genuine calm, which makes it ideal for families, couples and first-time visitors. Because Kashmir is domestic travel, Indian travellers need no visa or permit; you simply fly in and we handle the rest.
A night on a Dal Lake houseboat is a Srinagar rite of passage — hand-carved walnut interiors, a sun deck over the water and breakfast delivered by shikara. Shikara rides at dawn or dusk drift past the floating gardens, lotus beds and the lake's tiny bobbing markets.
Fly to Srinagar (SXR) — there are direct flights from Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru, while other South-Indian cities usually connect through Delhi with a single stop. From the airport, all local travel is by car or taxi, which we arrange as part of your package.
March to October is the classic window: tulips in early April, lush green meadows through summer and golden chinar leaves in October and November. December to February brings snow and a magical winter mood, though some higher roads close. Carry warm layers year-round, as evenings by the lake stay cool.
