Nagarkot is the Kathmandu Valley's favourite viewpoint, a breezy hill station perched on a ridge at around 2,175 metres. On clear mornings the horizon fills with Himalayan peaks — including, on the very best days, a distant glimpse towards the Everest range — as the sun rises over the snows. Nagarkot is roughly a one and a half to two hour drive from Kathmandu, often combined with Bhaktapur en route. We arrange comfortable private transfers so you arrive in time for sunset.

October to December and March to April bring the clearest skies and best chance of a full Himalayan panorama. Mornings are coldest, so pack a warm layer. Mountain visibility depends entirely on the weather, which we cannot guarantee.
