From the 30-minute callback to our private villa in Ubud, every little detail was handled. Our guide even arranged a surprise candle-lit dinner on the beach. Zero stress — pure magic.
Lakshadweep Island Hopping
From Agatti's airport to Kadmat, Bangaram and beyond by speedboat and ship.
Island-hopping is the best way to sample Lakshadweep's variety, but it works differently from other archipelagos. There are no bridges and no local ferries you can hop on at will; movement between islands happens by arranged boat transfer from Agatti or aboard a package ship cruise. That means realistic itineraries pair a couple of islands rather than a dozen, and each island you visit needs to be covered by your permit. Done well, it's a wonderful mix of lagoons, reefs and distinct island cultures.
Top things to see & do
Suggested itinerary
Fly into Agatti, settle in and enjoy the home lagoon. This becomes your hub for onward boat transfers.
Take a speedboat to Bangaram or Thinnakara for snorkelling, a quiet lagoon and a change of scenery.
Spend the day between islands, snorkelling reefs and relaxing on a near-private sandbank before returning to base.
For longer trips, transfer to Kadmat for its long lagoon and diving, or explore Agatti's village and beaches.
Return to Agatti in good time for your flight back via Kochi, or continue on a cruise leg if booked.

How island-hopping actually works
Lakshadweep isn't a free-roaming ferry network. From Agatti you take arranged speedboat or local boat transfers to nearby islands such as Bangaram and Thinnakara, while more distant islands like Kadmat, Kavaratti, Kalpeni and Minicoy are usually reached on a package ship cruise (the Samudram programme) that anchors offshore and tenders you in for day visits.
Realistic island combinations
Because transfers take time and permits are island-specific, sensible itineraries pair a few islands rather than many. Popular combinations include:
- Agatti + Bangaram + Thinnakara — short flight-based trip
- Agatti + Kadmat — lagoon and diving focus
- Ship cruise — Kavaratti, Kalpeni and Minicoy as day visits
Permits for each island
Every visitor needs an entry permit, and it lists the islands you are cleared to visit. This is arranged in advance as part of your package, so you cannot simply decide to add an island on the spot. Holiday Vibez assists with the permit application for your planned islands, subject to government approval, so build your hopping route before you travel.
Time needed
Give yourself enough days for the transfers to be relaxed rather than rushed. A 2N/3D trip really covers one base island with a short hop, 3N/4D comfortably adds a second island, and the ship cruise over 4–5 days is the way to see several southern islands in one loop.
Flight vs cruise hopping
Flying into Agatti suits travellers who want more time on fewer islands with quick boat hops nearby. The Samudram cruise suits those who want to sample multiple islands, sleeping aboard the ship and going ashore by day — a very different, slower-paced style of island-hopping.

Real stories from real journeys
Thousands of families and couples across South India have travelled with us — here's what a few of them had to say.
Travelling with my parents and two kids, I was nervous. Holiday Vibez planned every single day perfectly, and the Alleppey houseboat was the highlight. We are already planning our next trip with them.
Best price I found anywhere, and the desert safari and Burj Khalifa tickets were all sorted before we even landed. The team was on WhatsApp whenever I had a question.
The Gulmarg gondola, the shikara ride on Dal Lake — exactly like the photos, no surprises at all. By the end of the trip our driver felt like family.
Booked a fairly last-minute Phuket trip and they still got me a great deal with visa help included. Honest, smooth and genuinely helpful people.
Scuba at Havelock was a dream come true. Every transfer and every hotel was exactly as promised. Worth every rupee, and I have already recommended them to friends.
