Colombo's Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) receives direct flights from many Indian metros, typically one to three and a half hours away. The city centre is a short transfer, and your private car and driver can continue the tour from here.
Colombo sits on the west coast, so it is at its most pleasant December to March when skies are clearer and the sea calmer. The city is enjoyable year-round, with occasional afternoon showers during the mid-year monsoon.
