Rohtang requires a permit and is open only in season, typically May to October or early November depending on snow. We arrange the necessary permits and advise on alternatives like Gulaba if the pass is closed.
May to October usually offers open roads with snow lingering at the top through early summer. Winter closes the pass entirely due to heavy snow. Even in summer, temperatures at the top are cold, so warm layers are essential.
