Dehradun's Jolly Grant airport is about 35 km from Rishikesh, and Haridwar railway station is roughly 25 km away. Most South Indian travellers fly into Dehradun and drive in. Flights are an additional cost on top of the land package.
March to June and October to November are ideal, with pleasant weather and active rafting. Rafting typically pauses during the monsoon and peak winter for safety. The Aarti, yoga and temple visits are rewarding year-round.
Rishikesh is a pilgrimage town, so alcohol and non-vegetarian food are generally not available in the core area. Carry sturdy footwear for the bridges and ghats, and book rafting only with licensed operators. We arrange trusted, safety-first activity providers.
