Fly or take a train into Guwahati (GAU), then travel by road to Shillong, Cherrapunji and Kaziranga. Most South-India families connect through a metro airport; airfare is quoted separately and added to the land package honestly.
October to April gives the most reliable weather for sightseeing and safaris (Kaziranga runs roughly Nov–Apr). The monsoon months are green but very wet, which can affect walks and boat rides, so we plan around the season.
