Most travellers fly into Leh's airport and rest on the first day to acclimatise, which is the safest approach. Adventurous groups can drive up via the Manali or Srinagar highways, adding a few days. We tailor the arrival plan and arrange all inner-line permits for the restricted areas.
The season runs May to September, when the passes are clear and days are bright and dry. July and August are warmest but busiest; May, June and September are quieter with crisp air. Nights are cold at altitude throughout, so pack warm layers for every month.
