The easiest route is a direct flight to Leh (IXL) from Delhi, with connections also from Mumbai and Srinagar. Couples who love a road trip can arrive via the Manali–Leh or Srinagar–Leh highways, open roughly June to October.
May to September is ideal, when the high passes and lake roads are open and the skies are clear. These months offer warm days, cold nights and the fullest access to Pangong, Nubra and Tso Moriri.
Leh sits at around 3,500m, so we plan a rest day or two before heading higher. Take it slow, drink plenty of water and let your body adjust — it makes the whole honeymoon far more comfortable.
