High-altitude camping demands care. We use established camps with proper bedding and meals where possible, plan a gradual gain in altitude, and advise on warm clothing. Nights are cold even in summer, so good layers are essential.
The camping season runs May to September, when nights, though cold, are manageable and the lakes are accessible. High-altitude nights remain chilly year-round, so warm gear is a must.
