Delhi offers the most direct flights to Leh of any Indian city, taking around 80 minutes. Morning departures are best as mountain winds strengthen later. This convenience makes Delhi the ideal jumping-off point for a Ladakh holiday.
For a true adventure, the Manali–Leh highway is a two-day drive over passes like Rohtang and Tanglang La, usually open June to September. It offers gradual altitude gain and unforgettable scenery, though it needs more time than flying.
