Trekking at altitude demands good fitness and proper acclimatisation. We build in rest days in Leh, ascend gradually, and travel with experienced guides. Coming prepared with regular cardio training makes a real difference to your enjoyment.
The main trekking season is June to September, when the passes are clear and weather is settled. The frozen Chadar trek is a separate winter experience over the Zanskar river.
