The nearest airport is Pantnagar, around 160 km away, and Kathgodam is the closest railhead at roughly 130 km. Most South Indian travellers fly to Pantnagar or Dehradun and continue by road. Flights are additional to the land package, and the mountain drive takes time.
October to November and March to June offer the clearest peak views, which are Kausani's whole point. Summers are pleasantly cool, while winters are cold with occasional snow. Monsoon clouds can obscure the mountains, so pick the clear seasons.
