You'll hike to the legendary Taktsang (Tiger's Nest), visit the ancient Kyichu Lhakhang, the fertility temple of Chimi Lhakhang, the highland Gangtey Goenpa and towering dzongs at Thimphu, Paro and Punakha. Land at Paro (PBH) and visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the country's oldest temples, before checking in.
Drive to Thimphu to explore Tashichho Dzong, the memorial chorten and the Buddha Dordenma.
Cross Dochula Pass to Punakha, visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong and walk to Chimi Lhakhang.
Continue to the Gangtey-Phobjikha valley to visit Gangtey Goenpa and enjoy the highland calm.
Drive back to Paro, stopping at dzongs and viewpoints along the way for photography.

Fly into Paro (PBH) and travel overland by private vehicle between valleys. Overland entry via Phuentsholing is possible for those on a wider India itinerary.
Indian citizens do not get a traditional visa for Bhutan. You need an Entry Permit, arranged by Holiday Vibez, and travel on a valid Indian passport or Voter ID. The Sustainable Development Fee is currently about ₹1,200 per person per night for Indians (children discounted, under-6 exempt; subject to change). Dress modestly to enter temples.
Monasteries are living places of worship. Cover shoulders and knees, remove hats and shoes where asked, walk clockwise around shrines and avoid photography inside where it is not permitted. Your guide will advise at each site.
March–May and September–November offer the clearest skies and most comfortable temperatures for temple visits and the Tiger's Nest hike. Many colourful tshechu festivals also fall in these seasons.
