This Bhutan 5 nights 6 days package extends the classic western circuit to include Punakha, the old capital where the Mo Chhu and Pho Chhu meet below a breathtaking dzong. You'll still enjoy Paro, Thimphu and the Tiger's Nest hike, with an extra day to cross Dochula Pass and soak up Punakha's gentler, lower-altitude charm. Land packages start from around ₹39,999 per person on twin-sharing, the final quote shaped by hotels, season, flights and SDF nights. Your Bhutan entry permit is arranged throughout.

Package overview

Six days let you enjoy Paro, Thimphu and Punakha at a comfortable pace, taking in dzongs, the Tiger's Nest and the scenic Dochula crossing. It is our most popular western Bhutan itinerary.

Why add Punakha

Warmer and lower than Thimphu, Punakha offers Bhutan's most beautiful dzong, gentle river valleys and the option of rafting. The drive over Dochula Pass is a highlight in its own right.

How to reach

Fly into Paro (PBH) on Drukair or Bhutan Airlines from Kolkata, Delhi, Guwahati or Bagdogra, or arrive overland via Phuentsholing. South-India travellers typically connect through one of these gateways.

Entry permit and documents

Indian nationals do not need a visa. You travel on an Entry Permit plus the Sustainable Development Fee, currently ₹1,200 per person per night (subject to change; children discounted, under-6 exempt), carrying a passport or Voter ID. The SDF applies for each night. We arrange the entry permit for you.
