Bhutan rewards curious travellers with far more than mountain views. You can hike to a monastery pinned to a cliff, wander vast whitewashed dzongs, soak in a traditional hot-stone bath, and time your trip around a masked festival. Here are the experiences we build our itineraries around — all bookable as part of a land package from around Rs 34,999 per person on twin-sharing.

The must-do experiences

If you do one thing in Bhutan, make it the Tiger's Nest hike — but leave room for the great dzongs, a hot-stone bath and, if your dates align, a tshechu festival. Add a mountain pass or a valley walk and you've captured the essence of the country.

Festivals worth planning around

Bhutan's tshechus are vivid, spiritual affairs with masked dances in dzong courtyards, usually in spring and autumn. Dates follow the lunar calendar and shift each year, so tell us your travel window and we'll check what's on and build the days around it.

Hikes and the altitude

The Tiger's Nest is a steady four-to-five-hour return climb at altitude, and passes like Chele La sit above 3,000m. None require technical skill, but Bhutan is a mountain country — we pace early days gently and encourage hydration and rest so you enjoy every step.

Slow, restorative moments

Balance the active days with a traditional hot-stone bath, quiet time in a valley farmhouse, and unhurried walks through pine forest and terraced fields. Bhutan is as much about stillness as sightseeing.

Entry permit and documents

Indian visitors do not need a visa. You need an entry permit and pay the Sustainable Development Fee (currently around Rs 1,200 per person per night, subject to change; children discounted). Bring a passport or Voter ID and passport photos — we arrange the permit for you.
