Meghalaya means the abode of clouds, and nowhere in India tumbles with more spectacular waterfalls. From the sheer plunge of Nohkalikai, India's tallest plunge waterfall, to the shimmering Seven Sisters and countless Cherrapunji cascades, this is a land shaped by water. Our tours chase these falls through mist-wrapped hills alongside viewpoints, root bridges and clear rivers. Packages start from around ₹16,999, with flights to Guwahati additional to the land cost.

The Land of Waterfalls

Meghalaya's extraordinary rainfall carves the most dramatic waterfalls in India, plunging over sheer cliffs into deep green valleys. A waterfall tour here is a feast of viewpoints, mist and thundering water at every turn.

Waterfalls Not to Miss

The stars of a Northeast falls trip include:

  • Nohkalikai, India's tallest plunge fall
  • Seven Sisters, best after rain
  • Krang Suri for its blue swimmable pool
  • Wei Sawdong's three photogenic tiers

How to Reach

Guwahati is the nearest airport, connected by flights from across South India, with the falls reached by road via Shillong and Cherrapunji. We arrange all transfers and guiding. Flights are additional to the land package.

Best Time to Visit

The falls are fullest just after the monsoon, from October, and the dry, clear months to April make travel and viewpoints most pleasant. Peak monsoon brings the heaviest flow but frequent rain and mist, so we favour the shoulder and dry season.

Where to Stay

Comfortable hotels and homestays in Shillong and Cherrapunji put you close to the main falls. We match your stay to your budget, with viewpoint resorts available for those wanting to wake to the gorges.
