Kashmir Snow Tour
See the valley turn white — snow play, frosted meadows and winter magic across Kashmir
When winter settles over the valley, Kashmir becomes a glittering land of snow, and a Kashmir snow tour is the perfect way to experience it. From the white meadows of Gulmarg to the frosted pines of Pahalgam and Sonmarg, the season transforms familiar landscapes into something magical. It is ideal for first-time snow seekers from the south, with snow play, gondola rides above the drifts and cosy evenings by the fire. The prime snow window is December to February, and Holiday Vibez plans the well-travelled winter circuit while monitoring road and weather conditions.

Overview of a snow tour
A Kashmir snow tour centres on the valley's winter transformation, when snow blankets the meadows, forests and rooftops. Gulmarg is the star for snow play and the gondola, while Srinagar and Pahalgam add culture, lakes and frosted valleys. It is a joyful trip for families and first-time snow travellers, with cosy stays and warming local food.
Snow & adventure
Winter opens up a range of snowy experiences, best enjoyed around Gulmarg.
- Snow play and sledging in the meadows
- The gondola ride over white slopes towards Apharwat
- Skiing and snowboarding for the adventurous
- Snowy walks and photography in Pahalgam
How to reach
Fly to Srinagar (SXR) — direct flights from Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru, with one-stop links via Delhi from other cities. From Srinagar, Gulmarg and Pahalgam are reached by road. As domestic travel, Indian travellers need no visa or permit, and local travel is by car or taxi.
Best time & weather
The prime snow season is December to February, when fresh snowfall blankets Gulmarg and the valleys. It is cold, so pack heavy winter layers, gloves, a warm hat and waterproof boots. Roads to some high areas can close during heavy snow, and we monitor conditions to keep your route practical.
Travel tips
Dress in warm, waterproof layers and carry good grip footwear for icy paths. Keep devices warm as batteries drain quickly in the cold, and use sun protection against snow glare. Mobile signal can be patchy on higher slopes, and journey times may lengthen after fresh snow.

Real stories from real journeys
Thousands of families and couples across South India have travelled with us — here's what a few of them had to say.
Travelling with my parents and two kids, I was nervous. Holiday Vibez planned every single day perfectly, and the Alleppey houseboat was the highlight. We are already planning our next trip with them.
Best price I found anywhere, and the desert safari and Burj Khalifa tickets were all sorted before we even landed. The team was on WhatsApp whenever I had a question.
The Gulmarg gondola, the shikara ride on Dal Lake — exactly like the photos, no surprises at all. By the end of the trip our driver felt like family.
Booked a fairly last-minute Phuket trip and they still got me a great deal with visa help included. Honest, smooth and genuinely helpful people.
Scuba at Havelock was a dream come true. Every transfer and every hotel was exactly as promised. Worth every rupee, and I have already recommended them to friends.
