With an extra day over the short trip, you can slot in Sonmarg without rushing the rest. Srinagar stays your comfortable base, and each day trip opens a different face of the valley — the ski slopes of Gulmarg, the river valleys of Pahalgam and the glacier meadows of Sonmarg.
A Dal Lake houseboat is a Kashmir icon. Panelled in walnut and cedar, moored among the lotus gardens, it turns your stay into a memory.
Fly to Srinagar (SXR) — direct from Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru, and usually one stop via Delhi from other cities. Sightseeing and transfers are by private car or taxi throughout.
March to October offers tulips, green meadows and golden chinar; December to February brings snow and Gulmarg skiing. Some high-altitude roads may close in deep winter, so carry warm layers and let us advise on current conditions.
