Corbett is the birthplace of Project Tiger and one of India's finest places to experience the wild. Its varied landscape supports tigers, elephants, deer and hundreds of bird species. It's an exciting, accessible getaway for families and nature lovers.
Different zones offer different experiences:
Pantnagar is the nearest airport, about 80 km away, while Ramnagar is the closest railhead beside the park. Most South Indian travellers fly to Dehradun or Pantnagar and drive in. Flights are additional to the land package.
November to June is the main safari season, with the summer months offering higher chances of sightings near water. The core zones typically close during the monsoon, though Jhirna stays open. We confirm zone availability when planning.
Safari permits are limited and zones are allotted in advance, so early booking is essential. Wear muted colours, carry binoculars and follow your naturalist's guidance. Sightings are never assured in the wild; we arrange the best-placed safaris but cannot promise a tiger.
