The nearest airports are Hubli (about 3 hours) and Goa's Dabolim (about 3.5 hours), with Mangalore (about 4 hours) also an option. Gokarna Road station on the Konkan Railway is about 20–30 minutes from the beaches; Ankola and Kumta are nearby railheads too. We arrange private transfers so you reach the coast comfortably.
October to March for dry, pleasant nights and safe seas. Camping is not advisable in the rough monsoon.
