How to keep costs sensible

We build budget trips around value hotels, group-friendly transfers and free or low-cost highlights like Tiger's Nest, Dochula Pass and the dzongs. Travelling in the shoulder season and keeping to core valleys also helps you save without missing the essence of Bhutan.

About the SDF (be prepared)

Even on a budget trip, the Sustainable Development Fee applies. It is currently Rs 1,200 per person per night for Indian nationals (children discounted, under-6 exempt; subject to change). We factor this transparently into your quote so there are no surprises, and we never promise SDF waivers.

Entry permit and documents

Indian citizens do not need a visa. You need an Entry Permit plus the SDF, and you enter with a valid passport or Voter ID. Holiday Vibez arranges the Entry Permit as part of your package.

Best time for value

The shoulder months either side of peak spring and autumn can offer better rates while still delivering good weather. Winter is quiet and inexpensive, though colder; we will advise the sweet spot for your dates.

Getting there affordably

Booking flights early and considering the overland route via Phuentsholing can trim costs. Most travellers fly to Paro (PBH); we help compare options so your total spend stays sensible.
