The extra days mean unhurried dzong visits, an easier Tiger's Nest day, valley walks in Phobjikha and room to absorb Bhutanese culture, rather than dashing between sights.
Fly into Paro (PBH) on Drukair or Bhutan Airlines from Kolkata, Delhi, Guwahati or Bagdogra, or arrive overland via Phuentsholing. South-India travellers usually connect through one of these gateways.
Indian nationals do not need a visa. You travel on an Entry Permit plus the Sustainable Development Fee, currently ₹1,200 per person per night (subject to change; children discounted, under-6 exempt), carrying a passport or Voter ID. Because the SDF applies for each night, longer trips carry more nights of fee. We arrange the permit.
