Good news for Indian travellers: Bali is easy to visit. Indian passport holders are granted a Visa on Arrival (e-VoA), valid for around 30 days, which comfortably covers most holidays. Holiday Vibez guides you through exactly what to prepare so you arrive confident and stress-free, while the visa itself is issued by Indonesian immigration. Here's how it works, along with a sample trip and the sights worth planning around.

How the Visa on Arrival works

Indian passport holders can obtain a Visa on Arrival on landing in Bali, valid for around 30 days. It's a straightforward process at Denpasar airport, and many travellers also opt for the electronic version (e-VoA) arranged before departure. Holiday Vibez advises you on the current requirements so there are no surprises.

What you'll typically need

Requirements can change, so we confirm the latest before you travel. Generally, keep the following ready:

  • A passport valid for at least six months with blank pages.
  • A confirmed return or onward air ticket.
  • Proof of accommodation and the visa fee.

We'll guide you on the exact documents and any e-VoA option.

Extending or staying longer

The Visa on Arrival is generally extendable once for a further period through Indonesian immigration if you'd like to stay longer. As rules and timelines can change, we recommend checking with us and immigration in advance rather than assuming an extension. Never plan to overstay, as penalties apply.

How Holiday Vibez helps

We don't issue visas — Indonesian immigration does — but we make the process painless. Our team briefs you on the documents, the arrival procedure and the fee, and structures your trip within the visa validity. We never guarantee or expedite approvals; we simply make sure you arrive well prepared.

Best time to visit

Plan your visa validity around Bali's April–October dry season for the best weather. November to March is wetter and greener, and remains a good-value time to travel with short tropical showers.

Good to know on arrival

Dress respectfully at temples (a sarong is often required), carry some Indonesian rupiah as many places are cash-only, and note that scooters rule the roads. The island observes Nyepi, a day of silence, when services pause for 24 hours.
