High in the hills above Da Nang, the Golden Bridge curves out of the mountainside cradled by two enormous weathered stone hands, seemingly floating above the clouds. You reach it aboard one of the world's longest and highest cable-car rides, gliding over forest and waterfalls to Ba Na Hills, a whimsical mountain resort with a French Village, flower gardens and a fun park. It is one of central Vietnam's most photographed days out, and easily paired with Hoi An and Da Nang's beaches. Holiday Vibez builds it into your central-Vietnam itinerary.

Why Ba Na Hills is a must

Few day trips pack in so much: a thrilling cable-car ascent, the surreal Golden Bridge, European-style streets and blossoming gardens all in one cool mountain setting. It works for couples, families and photographers alike, and sits an easy drive from Da Nang and Hoi An.

How to reach Ba Na Hills

Ba Na Hills is about an hour's drive west of Da Nang (DAD), the central gateway. India connects to Da Nang via a 1-stop, or you can fly into Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City and add a domestic hop. Your package includes a private transfer to the cable-car base station.

Best time to visit

Central Vietnam is driest and sunniest from February to August, ideal for clear mountain views and the beaches below. The summit sits in cool cloud year-round, so bring a light layer even on warm coastal days.

Pair it with Hoi An

Most travellers combine Ba Na Hills with a stay in Hoi An, whose lantern-lit ancient town is just south. Da Nang's beaches, the Marble Mountains and Hue's Imperial City are all within easy reach for a rounded central itinerary.

Visa help for India

Indian travellers need a Vietnam e-Visa, usually issued in three to five working days. Holiday Vibez helps you prepare and submit the application; final approval rests with the authorities.
