India's easternmost state, Arunachal Pradesh is a Himalayan wonderland of snow passes, monasteries, misty valleys and vibrant tribal cultures. From the grand monastery of Tawang to the serene rice terraces of Ziro and the apple orchards of Dirang, it rewards the adventurous traveller. Indian citizens need an Inner Line Permit, which we arrange, and it is a permit, not a visa. Most South Indian travellers fly to Guwahati first, so flights add to the land price.

Why visit Arunachal Pradesh

Arunachal is one of India's last great frontiers, offering Himalayan passes, ancient monasteries and richly distinct tribal cultures. Whether you seek the grandeur of Tawang, the calm of Ziro or the orchards of Dirang, it delivers scenery and culture in equal measure.

Top destinations

Popular circuits include:

  • Tawang and Sela Pass
  • Ziro Valley and Apatani villages
  • Dirang and Bomdila
  • High-altitude lakes and monasteries

Inner Line Permit

Indian citizens require an Inner Line Permit to enter Arunachal Pradesh. This is a domestic travel permit, not a visa, and we assist with arranging it as part of your booking. Please share your details early so processing goes smoothly.

How to reach Arunachal

Fly into Guwahati (GAU), then travel overland into the state on scenic mountain roads. Most South Indian travellers fly in first, so flights add to the land package price. We arrange robust vehicles and experienced hill drivers.

Best time and tips

Roughly March to October offers the best access to Tawang and the higher valleys, while winter can bring snow and road closures. Ascend gradually to adjust to altitude, pack warm layers and allow buffer time for mountain weather.
