Alleppey is Kerala's definitive backwater experience. The overnight houseboat is the star — a floating home with sundeck, bedrooms and a cook — but the town also offers a fine beach, historic pier and easy access to Kuttanad's paddy country. It's a place to unplug, watch the water and let the pace slow right down.

The nearest airport is Kochi (COK), about 1.5 hours by road, with direct flights from all metros; Trivandrum (TRV) is an alternative for southern arrivals. Alleppey also has its own railway station with good connections. We handle private transfers and houseboat boarding for you.
September to March offers the most comfortable cruising weather, with December and January at their busiest — book houseboats well ahead in this window. The June to August monsoon brings lush, atmospheric backwaters, fewer crowds and a wonderfully green Kuttanad.
