Valley of Flowers Trek Tour Packages
A UNESCO alpine meadow ablaze with wildflowers in the monsoon months
The Valley of Flowers National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Garhwal, famous for its high alpine meadows that burst into hundreds of wildflower species each monsoon. Reached by a moderate trek from Govindghat via Ghangaria, it is a bucket-list walk for nature lovers and pairs naturally with a visit to nearby Hemkund Sahib. The park is open only from around June to October, with peak bloom in July and August. Holiday Vibez arranges the trek honestly, with the fitness and altitude realities made clear so you can prepare well; flights to Dehradun are additional.

About the Trek
The Valley of Flowers is a moderate high-altitude trek, not a casual walk. Days involve several hours of uphill and downhill on stone paths, reaching around 3,600 metres in the valley and 4,300 metres at Hemkund. Reasonable fitness and some preparation make it hugely rewarding.
Best Time and Season
The park is open only from around June to October each year, weather permitting. Peak flowering is in July and August during the monsoon, when the meadows are at their most colourful but the trail is wet and can be slippery. Carry good rain gear and grippy shoes.
How to Reach
The nearest airport is Dehradun and the trek begins at Govindghat, reached by a long mountain drive.
- Fly to Dehradun, then drive to Govindghat via Joshimath
- Trek to Ghangaria, the base village
- Ponies and porters are available for support
Fitness and Altitude
Because the trek climbs high, altitude and fitness matter. We advise light cardio in the weeks before, staying hydrated, and building in acclimatisation days. Anyone with heart or breathing conditions should consult a doctor first. We assist with logistics, but weather and trail conditions are beyond anyone's control.
Where to Stay
Accommodation is simple but comfortable, mostly guesthouses and lodges in Joshimath and Ghangaria, since the valley itself allows no overnight stay. Facilities in Ghangaria are basic mountain standard, which is part of the trek's authentic charm.

Travelling with my parents and two kids, I was nervous. Holiday Vibez planned every single day perfectly, and the Alleppey houseboat was the highlight. We are already planning our next trip with them.
Best price I found anywhere, and the desert safari and Burj Khalifa tickets were all sorted before we even landed. The team was on WhatsApp whenever I had a question.
The Gulmarg gondola, the shikara ride on Dal Lake — exactly like the photos, no surprises at all. By the end of the trip our driver felt like family.
Booked a fairly last-minute Phuket trip and they still got me a great deal with visa help included. Honest, smooth and genuinely helpful people.
Scuba at Havelock was a dream come true. Every transfer and every hotel was exactly as promised. Worth every rupee, and I have already recommended them to friends.
