Ranthambore is Rajasthan's premier tiger reserve, where big cats roam among crumbling fort ruins, jungle lakes and dry deciduous forest. Once a royal hunting ground, it now offers some of India's most reliable tiger sightings on morning and afternoon safaris. Our Ranthambore tours pair thrilling wildlife drives with the atmospheric hilltop fort. The park is open and best from October to March, before the summer heat.

Why visit Ranthambore

Ranthambore is one of the best places in India to see a wild tiger, set against uniquely photogenic ruins and lakes. The mix of heritage and wildlife gives it a character no ordinary safari park can match. It is an easy add-on to a classic Rajasthan tour.

Planning your safari

A few tips make the most of your visit:

  • Book morning and afternoon safaris in advance
  • Jeeps (6-seat) offer a more flexible experience than canters
  • Sightings are never assured, so allow two or more drives
  • Carry layers, a hat and a good camera

How to reach Ranthambore

The nearest railhead is Sawai Madhopur, well connected to Jaipur and Delhi, with the park a short drive away. Jaipur Airport is the closest, around three to four hours by road. We arrange transfers and safari logistics for you.

Best time to visit

The park is open roughly October to June, with October to March offering the most comfortable weather. Summer months bring hotter, dustier conditions but often better sightings around waterholes. The park closes during the monsoon.

Where to stay

Ranthambore has jungle lodges, resorts and heritage-style hotels near the park gates. Many include pools and gardens ideal for relaxing between safaris. We confirm the best option for your budget with your quote.
