The Maldives is visa-free for Indians

Indian citizens do not need to arrange a visa before travelling. On landing at Malé you receive a free 30-day tourist visa on arrival. Note that we do not obtain or guarantee visas — this stamp is issued directly by Maldives immigration to eligible travellers, and it is free of charge.

What to carry at immigration

To be granted the visa on arrival, have these ready:

  • Passport valid for at least six months beyond arrival.
  • Confirmed hotel or resort booking.
  • A return or onward ticket.
  • Proof of sufficient funds if asked, and your completed online arrival card (IMUGA).

How long can you stay?

The visa on arrival is valid for up to 30 days, which comfortably covers any of our package lengths from a 3-night escape to a full week. Extensions are handled locally by immigration and are not something we arrange.

Good to know before you fly

Resorts are self-contained private islands. If you plan to visit a local island such as Maafushi, remember these are Muslim communities — dress modestly away from the designated bikini beach, and alcohol is served only at resorts and liveaboards.

Getting to Malé

You fly to Malé (MLE), with direct flights from several Indian metros. From the airport you reach your resort by speedboat or seaplane, which we arrange as part of your package so your arrival is seamless.
