eNTRI vs e-Visa — the basics

India is one of the countries eligible for Malaysia's online travel authorisations. The eNTRI is a simple entry facility for short tourist visits, while the e-Visa is a longer application; both are done online, with no need to hand over your passport. Processing typically takes around 2–4 working days, so it's wise to apply ahead of travel.

Documents you'll usually need

Requirements are minimal, but generally include:

  • A passport valid for at least six months
  • A recent passport-style photo
  • Confirmed flight and hotel details
  • Proof of sufficient funds, where requested

We'll confirm the exact current requirements when you plan your trip.

How Holiday Vibez helps

We assist Indian travellers through the visa process as part of arranging your holiday — guiding you on the right route, checking documents and timing your application. We do not guarantee or expedite approvals, as those rest with the Malaysian authorities, but we make the process clear and stress-free.

Best time to visit

Once your visa is ready, aim for the west coast's driest months, December to April, for KL, Langkawi and Penang. The east-coast islands are best March to October, while the highlands stay cool year-round.

Getting there

Kuala Lumpur (KUL) is the main gateway, with direct flights of around 4.5–5.5 hours from many Indian metros. It makes Malaysia one of the easiest and best-value international trips for Indian families.
