Borneo diving is best from April to September, and the east-coast islands are open and best March to October before the monsoon. Highlands are cool all year, so trekking works across seasons.
Kuala Lumpur (KUL) is the main gateway, with direct flights from many Indian metros of roughly 4.5 to 5.5 hours. Domestic flights connect onward to Kota Kinabalu in Borneo and other adventure bases.
