The hilltop capital of Nagaland, Kohima blends rich Naga culture with a poignant chapter of Second World War history. Its beautifully kept war cemetery, lively markets and the nearby Kisama heritage village make it a rewarding, thoughtful destination. The Dzukou valley and Khonoma green village lie within easy reach. Most South Indian travellers fly to Dimapur or Guwahati, so flights add to the land price, and we arrange the scenic drive up.

Roads to Kohima are winding, so allow ample travel time and carry warm layers for the evenings. Be respectful when visiting villages and heritage sites, and let us know if you would like to time your trip with the Hornbill Festival.
