How to Reach Bali from India
Your route from India to the island — flights, airport and getting around Bali.
Getting to Bali from India is more straightforward than many expect. The island's gateway is Denpasar (DPS), also known as Ngurah Rai International Airport, in the south near the main beach areas. From most Indian cities you'll usually take a one-stop flight via a South-East Asian hub such as Kuala Lumpur, Singapore or Bangkok, and a few routes offer direct options. Here's how to plan your journey and move around once you land.

Flights from India to Bali
Most journeys from India to Bali involve one stop via a South-East Asian hub — Kuala Lumpur, Singapore or Bangkok are the most common — with a total travel time of roughly 7–9 hours plus the layover. A handful of routes offer direct or shorter connections depending on the season. We'll help you find a convenient routing to match your city and budget.
Denpasar airport (DPS)
Bali's Ngurah Rai International Airport in Denpasar is the island's single gateway, set in the south just minutes from Kuta and around 45 minutes from Nusa Dua or Seminyak. It's a modern, easy-to-navigate airport where you'll clear your Visa on Arrival and immigration before meeting your driver.
Getting around Bali
Bali has no metro or train, so travel is by road. Options include:
- Private car with driver — the most comfortable way to sightsee, and what we arrange for tours.
- Taxis and ride-hailing apps — handy in the south.
- Scooters — everywhere, but only for confident riders with the right licence.
Roads can be slow and winding, so allow extra time between areas.
Reaching the Nusa islands
To reach Nusa Penida or Nusa Lembongan, you'll take a fast boat from Sanur, a crossing of around 30–45 minutes. Seas are calmest in the dry season, and we arrange the transfers and timings as part of any island day trip.
Visa on arrival
Indian passport holders receive a Visa on Arrival (e-VoA), valid about 30 days, processed at Denpasar. We guide you on the documents and procedure so your arrival is smooth, while the visa is issued by Indonesian immigration.
Travel tips for the journey
Book connecting flights with a comfortable layover to allow for delays, keep your onward ticket and hotel details handy for immigration, and carry some Indonesian rupiah for the airport. Our team is on hand Mon–Sat, 9am–6pm, to help plan your routing.

Real stories from real journeys
Thousands of families and couples across South India have travelled with us — here's what a few of them had to say.
Travelling with my parents and two kids, I was nervous. Holiday Vibez planned every single day perfectly, and the Alleppey houseboat was the highlight. We are already planning our next trip with them.
Best price I found anywhere, and the desert safari and Burj Khalifa tickets were all sorted before we even landed. The team was on WhatsApp whenever I had a question.
The Gulmarg gondola, the shikara ride on Dal Lake — exactly like the photos, no surprises at all. By the end of the trip our driver felt like family.
Booked a fairly last-minute Phuket trip and they still got me a great deal with visa help included. Honest, smooth and genuinely helpful people.
Scuba at Havelock was a dream come true. Every transfer and every hotel was exactly as promised. Worth every rupee, and I have already recommended them to friends.
