There are no direct flights from Chennai to the Himachal hills, so the journey has two easy legs. Most travellers fly Chennai to Chandigarh and drive up, with Shimla around 4 hours and Manali around 8 hours away. Alternatively, fly to Delhi and board an overnight Volvo coach that reaches the hills by morning.
From Chennai, the twin-station Shimla and Manali circuit is the firm favourite, giving colonial charm and mountain adventure in one trip. Those with a full week often add Dharamshala and Dalhousie for Tibetan culture and quieter pine towns.
Our Chennai-to-Himachal packages typically include hotel stays, daily breakfast, sightseeing transfers and applicable taxes. Flights can be added on request. Adventure activities and entry tickets are usually additional.
Coming from the warm south, most Chennai guests love March to June for pleasant weather and green valleys. December to February is the season for snow in Shimla, Kufri and Manali, a magical contrast to Tamil Nadu's climate.
