If you want one Dubai evening that keeps the whole family happy without spending a fortune, Global Village is it. Open roughly October to April each season, this huge open-air park brings together pavilions from India, Turkey, Egypt, Thailand and dozens more countries, each packed with handicrafts, street food and small performances. Kids love the funfair rides and stage shows; parents love that entry is inexpensive and you set your own budget on food and shopping. It comes alive after sunset, when Dubai's cooler winter weather makes strolling comfortable. For Indian travellers it is familiar yet new, and easily paired with the city's bigger sights over a few days.

What Global Village actually is

Global Village is a seasonal cultural park, not a permanent attraction. It usually runs from October to April and shuts for the summer heat, so timing matters if it is on your list. Inside, more than 25 country pavilions line the walkways, from a grand India Pavilion to Turkey, Iran, Egypt and Africa, each selling food, spices, carpets, jewellery and souvenirs. There are fairground rides, cultural dance shows and near-nightly fireworks. Entry tickets are modest, and you decide how much to spend inside. Plan your dates around the season using our best time to travel guide.

How it fits into a Dubai trip

Most families give Global Village one full evening, arriving around sunset and staying three to four hours. It pairs naturally with a daytime at Dubai Mall and the Burj Khalifa, a desert safari, or a stroll along Dubai Marina and Palm Jumeirah. Because it sits a little outside the city centre, a taxi or cab app is the easiest way in and out. If you would rather have everything sequenced for you, our Dubai family tour packages can slot Global Village into a comfortable itinerary alongside the marquee sights and even an Abu Dhabi day trip.

Food, budget and veg-friendly tips

This is where Global Village shines for Indian families. The India Pavilion and nearby stalls serve familiar chaat, dosa, biryani and sweets, and pure-veg and Jain-friendly options are easy to find across the food trucks and pavilion counters. Portions are generous and priced per item, so a family can eat well without a fixed spend. Carry cash and a card, wear comfortable footwear, and go on a weekday evening to dodge weekend crowds. Travelling with my parents and two kids, I was nervous. Holiday Vibez planned every single day perfectly, and the Alleppey houseboat was the highlight. We are already planning our next trip with them.
