As the afternoon cools, a 4x4 takes you over the golden dunes for some heart-in-mouth dune bashing, then it's time for a camel ride, sandboarding and photos as the sun drops behind the sand. The evening ends at a Bedouin-style desert camp with a barbecue dinner, henna, shisha and live tanoura and belly-dance performances under the stars. We build the safari into your Dubai package, or arrange it as a standalone evening.
Arrive and check in, then explore the Gold and Spice Souks with a traditional abra ride across Dubai Creek in the evening.

A typical evening safari includes hotel pick-up and drop in an air-conditioned 4x4, dune bashing, a camel ride, sandboarding, a stop for sunset photos, and a desert camp with a barbecue buffet dinner (veg and non-veg), soft drinks, henna painting, shisha and live shows. We'll tell you exactly what your chosen safari covers before you book.
The evening safari with dinner is the classic and suits most families and couples. For something calmer, a morning safari skips the show and focuses on the dunes. For a splurge, a private/luxury safari with a premium camp or a hot-air-balloon ride at dawn is unforgettable. Travelling with elderly parents or very young kids? We'll pick the gentler option and a shorter dune route.
Wear light clothes and closed shoes, carry a light jacket for the evening (the desert cools fast), and skip a heavy lunch before dune bashing. Vegetarian and Jain meals are available at the camp — just let us know in advance.
