Auli is a rare Indian destination where you can ski beneath giant Himalayan peaks. Its meadows, forests and ropeway make it stunning in every season, not just winter. It's a memorable choice for adventurers and view-seekers alike.

The nearest airport is Dehradun (Jolly Grant), around 270 km away, and Rishikesh is the closest major railhead. From there it's a long but scenic mountain drive to Joshimath, then the ropeway or road to Auli. Flights are additional to the land package, and the road journey needs a full day.
For skiing and snow, December to March is the window, though snowfall varies year to year. April to June brings clear views and blooming meadows ideal for trekking. High-altitude roads can be affected by weather, so build in buffer time.
Auli sits above 2,500 m, so allow time to acclimatise and stay hydrated. Pack warm layers even in summer, as evenings are cold. Snow and weather can affect the ropeway and roads; we plan sensible buffers but cannot control mountain conditions.
