Sentosa sits just off Singapore's southern coast and is reached by the scenic cable car from Mount Faber, the Sentosa Express monorail from VivoCity, or a short walkway. The cable-car ride alone, with its harbour panoramas, is worth doing at least once.
The island's big draws are Universal Studios Singapore, the S.E.A. Aquarium and Adventure Cove Waterpark, plus the Skyline Luge, SkyHelix and three sandy beaches. History fans can explore Fort Siloso, and evenings bring lively beach clubs and dining.
