Both KL and Langkawi sit on the west coast, which is driest from December to April — the best window for beach days and clear cable-car views. The islands are pleasant across much of the year, but this period is the most reliable.
You'll fly into Kuala Lumpur (KUL) from your home metro, then take a short domestic hop to Langkawi. Within KL, trains and Grab make getting around simple, while Langkawi is best explored by car or organised tours.
