Take a direct flight from your metro to KUL, then transfer into the city to check in.
Use trains and Grab to tour the Petronas Towers, Batu Caves and Bukit Bintang.
Ride up to Genting by cable car, or take a coach to historic Malacca.
Fly onward to Langkawi or Penang in about an hour for beaches or heritage and food.

KUL is modern and well-organised:
Within KL, the train network and Grab make sightseeing effortless. For longer distances, short domestic flights connect KL to Langkawi, Penang and Kota Kinabalu in about an hour, while comfortable coaches and trains reach cities like Malacca and Penang overland.
For the east-coast islands like Redang and Perhentian, you'll fly or drive to a coastal town, then take a boat across. Langkawi and Penang have their own airports, making them quick and simple to reach by air from KL.
